The easier you make it for customers to reach the business, the less chance it'll run into problems. Take a close look at the traffic overlay for problems, build a nearby parking lot if street parking looks crowded, and if possible route some public transportation through commercial zone. Make sure there's parking, low traffic, and public transportationĮven if you've got your commercial zone on some prime real estate, you have to make sure your citizens can access it. Again, don't build a massive commercial zone, just zone enough space for a handful of businesses to move in and see if it satisfies the demand. Ignore the light green roads (you can even disable them in the overlay if it helps), and focus on the dark green areas, which can be a little hard to see. Make sure unemployment stays above 5 (preferably 10, so it doesn't drop below 5 when expanding). Remember, the game requires unemployment, just like the real world. Make sure they add up to 800 or whatever you need. It doesn't just show you commercial suitability by displaying roads as bright green, it also shows you your current customer base in dark green on the terrain. Industries DLC have worker barracks, so plop more of them, they say how many workers they house. If that isnt an issue then Id check education status. I tend to keep unemployment between 10-20. ![]() ![]() If you have less than at least 3-4 unemployment then you are just short on people looking for work. First, I would check your unemployment rate. Look carefully at the overlay before you zone. Originally posted by Samtana: Usually if theres not enough workers its a relatively simple solution.
